Junior STEM Academy Volunteer Application

Looking for something to do this summer? Needing to rack up some volunteer hours for graduation? Maybe you just love working with youth!

My name is Amber Booth. I am a Senior Diversity Specialist at the UAMS, Center for Diversity Affairs, and program coordinator for the Junior STEM Academy (JSA). JSA is a 2-week summer program for Kindergarten-6th grade. It is a high energy, interactive-learning, day-camp with a health science focus. As a volunteer, you would assist the teachers, counselors, and CDA staff with day-to-day facilitation of activities and events. You will work closely with youth ages 5-13. The camp is June 11th-June 22nd. The camp hours are 7:45am-5:15pm. Hours for volunteers are flexible. All decisions will be made by June 1, 2018.

More information about the program and, The Center for Diversity Affairs:

Other than the joy of working with kids, you’ll receive documented volunteer hours, and a letter of recommendation. This is a great opportunity and it will be a lot of fun!

*volunteer age requirement- 16 years+
