The goal of the CDA is to provide information, support, and guidance to others at UAMS endeavoring to improve cultural competency, increase diversity and inclusion, and reduce health inequities by:

  • Serving as a repository of information about relevant activities for UAMS
  • Linking to relevant information sources
  • Providing educational and learning opportunities pertaining to diversity, cultural competency, health disparities, and related topics
  • Gathering and disseminating information about relevant grant opportunities

“Building a New Framework for Better Social Solutions: Introduction to Cultural Humility” is a *2-hour interactive presentation focusing on dimensions of diversity, unconscious bias, micro-inequities, and more.  The presentation creates a safe space, allowing participants to engage in necessary conversations about prejudice, bias, racism, discrimination, etc. It is delivered quarterly. Registration is open in Training Tracker.
